Feeling the need for privacy is a symptom of the affliction of self-importance.

Feeling the need for complete abandonment of privacy may be a symptom of exhibitionism and / or hopelessness.

There might be too much useless data out there. Modern Media are fleeting.

Paper in many ways is safer.

Create data in the moment. Use brain for storage of knowledge.

Difficult issues.

kia ora!

at least your links to 'Communal Creativity' and 'Done right' are broken.

i was arrested after having taken pictures at a protest last year in Wellington and then the cops stole my camera (out of a car while i was at the cop shop where they took my details). now these silly bastards are trying to use these pictures in court which is unlawful without my consent. what i wanted to say: NZ is the same regime as USA. :)

sometimes i also fancy the idea of letting go of all privacy, because state and corporations will get hold of all relevant data anyway, unless the people will be quick enough to smash these institutions. so why not devaluate the garnered information. but then, i am kind of a digial hermit, otaku, and also not, who feels uneasy about being extrovert. at the moment, i can only see this as an act of defense, not as a merit or something to strive for.

"I sure as hell know that whenever silicon
enters my flesh it oughta be free and open."

This sentence-- or more accurately, this image-- scares me.
