A job?! And, time tracking in Drupal?

I'm looking for a decent time tracking tool for Drupal, both for my freelance work as well for my employer, Intal. Briefly, Intal is an NGO working with partner NGOs in many countries (and places), among which Philippines, Congo, Gaza, Cuba and Colombia, in the fields of health care, development, peace and human rights. It would be cool if there was Drupal based solution for time tracking that would integrate well with OpenAtrium so that we can replace the OpenOffice spreadsheets currently in use. By the way, at Intal I'm also working a lot with Ubuntu, LTSP, CiviCRM and solving general office IT issues.

If you can live with spreadsheets for time tracking, take a look at Sheetnode (http://drupal.org/project/sheetnode), which provides online spreadsheet nodes. It supports Views and allows for cross-referencing cell values. Import/Export to XLS/OOCalc is in progress.

Nice module, but I think time tracking should be more convenient than using a spreadsheet.

Ideally it would simply be a "start" button on a node, that turns into a "stop" button when you click on it. So it should probably be a timetrack field that can store datetime ranges and user IDs and can be displayed in various ways.

A first simple implementation could simply add two datetime fields to a case comment, the start input field is the time of opening the node, and the end input field can be updated the current time so that the user is gently forced to leave a comment.

Yes I agree. A nice model for a timesheet application is Harvest (harvestapp.com) that has a very simple UI.
