Hitchwiki everywhere

"Aard Dictionary is a multiplatform dictionary and offline Wikipedia reader. It runs on desktop computers, notebooks and netbooks with Windows, Linux and Mac OS X as well as Nokia Internet Tablets (N800 and N810) and anywhere Python, PyGTK and ICU are available. Aard Dictionary is light, fast, easy to use and free." And now it's also possible to read Hitchwiki articles everywhere: I converted Hitchwiki dumps into .aar files. I'll probably set up a weekly cron on my server once I have aarddict running on the N900 that I received from Nokia during the Maemo conference in Amsterdam 3 weeks ago :)

I was asking about the N900. Are you using it as your primary phone? My N810 seems a bit big to carry around as an everyday phone. It's also a little costly for me right now, $600 is a lot for a new toy. :-)

I've been waiting for this phone for ages. So I never really got myself a decent phone and consequently I love the N900 as my phone! It's replacing three devices: my N810, my old phone and it's good enough as a replacement for my camera. It's much more than just a new toy. Anu even goes so far to call it the Jesus phone ;)

I have the aarddict N8x0 debs running on my N900 now. Just needed one little Python fix. It will be nice to have it "less black". I'll try to create some packages together with the author.

How long does the battery of the N900 run?
Is it significantly shorter, if you turn GPS on?

The battery life seems to be okay. I haven't used the GPS so much, because it's not really that good if you don't use the network location to start with. On top of that Ovi Maps wants to constantly connect to find streets and such, even though I put all maps of Europe on my device. (Should add link to that here!)
